Thank you for taking the time to review the information in respect of our senior management vacancy, Head of Human Resources.

Community Gateway Association took the stock transfer of over 6,000 homes from Preston City Council in November 2005. We were the first social housing organisation in the UK to be set up as a 'community gateway' and we remain the only such social landlord in the North of England. This means tenants and communities are at the heart of our decisions, and as such we enable local people to have the maximum opportunity to influence our work.

Over the past eight years we have successfully delivered our Improvement Programme, and firmly embedded and delivered our Community Empowerment Strategy. With a turnover of £20 million per annum our plans for continued growth are both interesting and challenging!

You will be joining the organisation during exciting times in our Gateway journey as we continue to firmly integrate our repairs service that transferred to the organisation in April 2013 and transfer the Grounds Maintenance Service in-house in March 2014.

Welfare Reform is high on our agenda along with the Green Agenda, Digital Inclusion, and Employment and Skills to name but a few of the pivotal high priority areas in which we will be focusing our attentions.

High on the HR agenda is the delivery of the People Strategy, the interim Investors in People Assessment, the development of a new learning and development strategy along with ensuring that the existing structure is aligned with the achievement of the corporate strategic objectives.

As a member of CGA's management team you will be required to demonstrate excellent leadership ability and be able to develop proficient performance management in relation to your staff.
